To become a member, one must be a Catholic gentleman, in good standing, in communion with the Holy See and at least 18 years of age. Candidates must complete their First Degree in order to become a member.
The Knights of Columbus have four degrees that all members are encouraged to attain. The degrees are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. The first three degrees are combined into one Exemplification Ceremony which admits candidates into full Knighthood. All family members are encouraged to attend the Ceremony and support the new Knight. Those attaining fourth degree status also have the option of joining the color corps and becoming involved in the assembly. Brothers interested in making their next degree should speak to the Membership chairmen, Grand Knight, or Financial Secretary.
